Today we added the new digraph ‘ng’ to the line of graphemes that we know. In maths, we continued to look at positional language, and most of us are quite adept at identifying what is above and below us. In English, we continued to see if we could identify which of our four suspects pushed Humpty Dumpty and drew and spelt what we thought he could have landed on to save himself. We then looked at people in our community (that was one of our new words today! Ask us what it means!) and drew and spelt the people we meet, from firefighters, police, shopkeepers and cleaners. We practiced our presenting skills by getting up in front of the whole class, easier for some than others, and told everybody who we had chosen and some of us had little stories about meeting some of these people. We finished off the day with a little song practice.
