The names of 2D shapes

In English, we started to look at what we do to look after ourselves, including washing our hands, brushing our teeth, riding our bikes and eating well (which led to a debate about how much chocolate we should each eat!) We practiced our fine motor skills by threading and writing our phonics. In maths, we looked at 2D shapes, starting with circle, square, rectangle and triangle, and then used those and other shapes to make things like faces, robots and towers. We also added ‘i’ to the list of letters we can recognise. We ended the day by looking at playing cooperatively with games and finished with a story.
